The Role of Worship Assistants

It takes the work of many people for worship to be the best we can offer to God and each other.

We invite anyone willing to learn and serve to volunteer as a Greeter, Usher, Lector, or Fellowship Host.

Contact Gina Falconer with your questions.

Description of Worship Volunteer Opportunities

Greeter

The role of a greeter is to welcome people as they arrive in building, offer directions, and be a smiling face.

Usher

The role of an usher is to assist worshipers with bulletins, collect the offering during worship, provide guidance during the distribution of communion, and be of assistance to the pastor or congregation during the worship service.

Lector

The role of the lector is to read the lessons of the day (provided in advance) with clear speech and confidence.  They also assist the pastor during the distribution of communion by serving the wine.

Fellowship Host

The role of a Fellowship Host is to help serve and clean-up the Fellowship Time on Sunday mornings. All supplies are provided. You can sign up for this ministry in the Church Kitchen or contact Shirley Rill.

Sign-up

You can sign-up on the bulletin board across from the church office or contact Gina Falconer.
